To italicize text in Microsoft Word, you can follow these steps:
- Open Microsoft Word and create a new document or open an existing document.
- Select the text you want to italicize by clicking and dragging your cursor over the desired text.
- On the Home tab in the Ribbon, locate the Font section.
- Click on the italic (slanted) formatting button, which is represented by an "I" icon. Alternatively, you can press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + I (Command + I on a Mac) to quickly italicize the selected text.
- The selected text should now appear in italics.
Note: If you want to remove the italics formatting from any text, you can either select the text and click the italic formatting button again, or press Ctrl + I (Command + I on a Mac) to toggle the italics off.
