To insert and format hyperlinks in Google Sheets, you can follow these steps:
Open Google Sheets and locate the cell where you want to insert the hyperlink.
Select the cell and right-click on it. Click on "Insert link" from the right-click menu.
In the "Insert link" dialog box, enter or paste the URL or web address you want to link to in the "Link" field. For example, "https://www.example.com".
You can choose to display a different text for the hyperlink in the "Text" field. If left blank, the URL itself will be displayed as the hyperlink.
Optional: If you want to link to a specific cell within the same sheet, you can use a special format. For example, if you want to link to cell A1, enter "#gid=0&range=A1" after the sheet name in the "Link" field. The format should be "SheetName#gid=0&range=A1".
Click on the "Apply" button to insert the hyperlink.
To format the hyperlink:
Select the cell containing the hyperlink.
Click on the "Format" tab in the top menu and select "Number" or "More formats" (the icon looks like an omega symbol).
In the drop-down menu, click on "Hyperlink" under "Number" or "More formats".
A new dialog box will appear where you can customize the formatting options for the hyperlink, such as font style, font size, underline, and text color.
Make your desired formatting changes and click on the "Apply" button to format the hyperlink.
