To find the maximum value in a range of cells using the MAX function in Excel, follow these steps:
=MAX(range)
in the selected cell, replacing "range" with the actual range of cells you want to find the maximum value for. For example, if you want to find the maximum value in cells A1 to A10, the formula would be =MAX(A1:A10)
.Alternatively, you can also select the range of cells first and then directly input the formula =MAX()
. Excel will automatically include the selected range within the parentheses. Simply press Enter to get the result.
