To enter and format data in Google Sheets cells, follow these steps:
- Open your Google Sheets document.
- Double-click on the cell where you want to enter the data. The cell will become active and ready for input.
- Type in the desired data into the cell.
- Press Enter on your keyboard, or click on another cell to complete the data entry.
- To format the data in the cell, select the cell or range of cells that you want to format.
- Click on the "Format" tab in the top menu bar.
- In the drop-down menu that appears, choose the formatting option you want to apply. Some common formatting options include: number format, text format, font style, font size, text color, cell color, borders, etc.
- Customize the formatting as desired using the available options in the formatting menu.
- Once you are satisfied with the formatting changes, close the formatting menu.
Note: You can also use keyboard shortcuts to apply formatting quickly. For example, pressing Ctrl + B will bold the selected text. You can find a list of commonly used keyboard shortcuts in Google Sheets by clicking on "Help" in the top menu bar and then selecting "Keyboard Shortcuts".
