To create and use named ranges in Google Sheets, follow these steps:
Open your Google Sheets document and select the range of cells you want to name.
Click on the "Data" tab in the toolbar at the top of the page and select "Named ranges" from the drop-down menu.
In the sidebar that appears on the right, click on the "+" button to create a new named range.
Give your named range a descriptive name in the "Name" field.
Optionally, you can provide a description for the named range in the "Description" field.
Make sure the "Range" field displays the correct range of cells you want to name.
Click "Done" to create the named range.
To use the named range in your formulas:
Start typing your formula as usual in a cell.
Instead of manually selecting the range, type in the name of the named range preceded by an equal sign (=).
As you type, a drop-down menu will appear with suggestions based on the named ranges you created.
Select the desired named range from the drop-down menu.
Finish typing your formula and press Enter to apply it.
Using named ranges allows you to easily refer to specific ranges of cells in your formulas, even if the size or location of the range changes. It simplifies your formulas and helps improve the readability and maintenance of your spreadsheet.
