To apply conditional formatting to highlight specific data in Google Sheets, follow these steps:
Open your Google Sheets document and select the data range where you want to apply conditional formatting.
In the menu, click on "Format" and then select "Conditional formatting."
In the "Conditional format rules" panel on the right side of the screen, choose the formatting style you want to apply, such as text color, cell highlighting, or data bars.
Define the condition that needs to be met for the formatting to be applied. For example, you can use rules like "Text contains," "Greater than," "Less than," or any other given condition.
Specify the values or text strings you want to highlight based on the selected condition. For instance, if you have selected "Greater than," enter the threshold value. Alternatively, you can select a cell range or use a formula for more complex conditions.
If needed, add more formatting rules by clicking on the "Add another rule" button and repeat steps 4 and 5. This allows you to set multiple conditions and corresponding formatting styles.
Customize the formatting style by clicking on the "Formatting style" drop-down and altering the font color, cell color, or other formatting options.
Once the formatting rules and styles are defined, click "Done" to apply them to the selected data range.
The specified formatting will now be displayed in real-time, highlighting the data that meets the defined conditions.
