To add headings and subheadings in Google Docs, you can use the built-in "Styles" feature. Here's how:
Open your Google Docs document.
Select the text you want to make a heading or subheading.
In the toolbar at the top, you should see a dropdown menu on the left side. By default, it may say "Normal text." Click on it to open the styles menu.
In the styles menu, you'll see several predefined styles such as "Title," "Heading 1," "Heading 2," etc. Select the style you want for your heading or subheading.
The selected text will now be formatted as a heading or subheading based on the style you chose.
Note that using these predefined styles not only applies formatting to your headings and subheadings but also helps in creating an automatic table of contents if needed. Remember to use the appropriate heading level for your sections, with higher heading numbers indicating lower levels of the hierarchy (e.g., Heading 1 for main sections, Heading 2 for sub-sections, and so on).
You can also customize the font, size, and other formatting settings for these styles by modifying the "Normal text" style or creating new custom styles in the "Styles" menu.
